Anyone have any real world experience with Regal boats? Im now looking at a new 2300. Wasn't wanting to quite spend that much money but... How well do they handle? The biggest engine I can get is the 350 hp 6.2. Ive read some reviews on the 300 hp volvo and the boat ran 50 mph at wot. I guess Im more interested in quality and handling. The little bit Ive read they seem to be a really well built boat. I do like the fact they have a lot of freeboard so im guessing a dryer ride in anything rough. Any and all opinions welcome.

I have a 2009 2200RS with the Volvo 5.7 300HP. It's been a great boat, I've put 400hrs on it since I've owned it (it has 550hrs on it). No problems and seems to be well made. Ride is good, the stepped hull likes to ride a little faster than other similar sized boats. Mine runs 51-53 on GPS with a normal rec day boat load of people/stuff/coolers. I'm currently looking at bigger boats and Regal is still at the top of the list because I've been so happy with this one. Friday I plan to go check out the new marina at Lake Cumberland and tour around some, so it'll be a 175-200mi by water day, still very comfortable on days like that.

I had an older Regal. 1998. I was very impressed with construction and build quality. Very solid.
