Default GPS Speedometer

I am thinking about replacing all of my gauges and was considering using a gps speedo vs the pitot one that is in there now. My question is what do you do with the pitot tube that runs to the original speedo in the dash? Can I just plug it off?

You can cap it behind the dash, plug it at the drive or remove the tube completely. I plugged and capped mine when I installed my Livorsi GPS.
