i have a 98 454 mag mpi Gen 6 Serial #0L014516. i have been chasing a few issues over the past year, steam coming out of 1 exhaust and running rich at idle. i have a ridna scanner and every time i had it hooked up i noticed the knock sensor was alway a 0 when i was idleing and when i was under power. my question is, is that normal? I assume no knock is a good thing. but im woundering if maybe the knock sensor is not doing it job because its bad.

Thanks for the S/N, shows MEFI-1
Knock sensor should be 0 which means knock is not detected
Some steam can be normal, and running rich can be a few things from MAP sensor, injectors need cleaning, spark arrestor dirty, incorrect timing.
Your MAP is 1 Bar sensor should read 4.9V with key ON and about 1.46V idling. Comes from pin J1-9 and is a light Green wire
