I have a trip planned tomorrow to PIB with 3 guests. It's an 80 mile cruise each way and dinner and a few hours on the island. It's kind of a big deal but now I'm seeing that the Boardwalk is closed and Frosty's is closed and so are other restaurants. Has anyone been there in the last couple days? Is it worth going? My friends are Filipino and we want a good seafood restaurant. Can someone recommend a good alternative to the Boardwalk for a good seafood dinner and drinks? Is the gas dock open? I inquired about PIB a few weeks ago and was told that everything is up and running. Now it sounds like the island is shutting down just as I finally got this run planned.

As an aside, we have all had the covid virus and miraculously survived and are presumably at least temporarily immune from it now so not worried about that!

This is all very recent. Boardwalk will be closed for sure so the "dock 'n dine" package will not be available. We can use the city docks but will need gas and a good restaurant.

Pretty sure the closings started just a couple days ago. I can't get anyone to answer phones and it's past noon. No answer at the marina and gas dock. No answer at The Keys restaurant which sounds like a good option except that it is a part of The Boardwalk operations. No answer at Tipper's, which says it has a seafood buffet. I will keep calling but this doesn't look good.

Update: I finally got someone on the phone and the Boardwalk complex is closed and The Keys and Hooligans are closed but she said the gas dock will be open. I'm sure we can find a slip on a Wednesday and it looks like B Dock has the best rates at .80 per foot. Now I need to find a decent seafood restaurant. This sucks. Heads up to anyone else planning to go! Any restaurant recommendations would still be appreciated, especially for seafood.

We are heading out in 2 hours. I can't get any good restaurants on the phone but we will find someplace to eat! It's mostly about the 160 mile round trip boat ride anyway! We will probably eat at the "Boathouse" if it's open. Then get a golf-cart and I'll show them the island including some secret spots like "seashell beach."
