Default What kind of boat is this

Taking a break, watching flipper, "the angry female congressman episode"
flipper teaches her a valuable life lesson and she spares coral key park from the chopping block.
Anyway theres this twin engine boat in that episode that made me think of the monkey crashing the boat episode.
as luck would have it its on youtube but its been adulterated.

Looks like Bertram, Donzi, Aronow. I would say definitely something Arowon built. But just a guess.

I'm still struggling with the idea of searching "Flipper" on YouTube.

..........Why not? I'm gonna take my 3 year old daughter to see a local dolphin show today so this thread is a winner for me!

P.S. Off topic but we're home from the dolphin show now and she loved it! Thank you 'outonsafari' for giving me the idea. 🙂

Saw this on the internet, so it must be true!...........

"Update: Alert Viewer Bob Stone says the boat used in Flipper was NOT a Chris Craft, but a 25-foot Thunderbird, made in North Miami. “It was a new design and was given to the show for promotion use.” The boat also had one of the first Inboard/Outboard engines from OMC – which was quite an innovation at the time.Aug 1, 1996"

Default Nothing like a Formula 233, well maybe a Nova Marine Sprint 24 is the ultimate.

It's a Formula 233 by Thunderbird. A local to me 1964 Formula 233 got the port helm(photo), and so did many post Aronow produced Formula. This local 1964 was made in the Thunderbird California plant, and the second photo shows Peter Rothschild, Larry Smith(Team Scarab founder at port helm) and Chuck Daigh in Peter's Formula 233 during the legendary 1966 Los Angeles to San Francisco offshore endurance race, when they beat Don Aronow and the whole East Coast offshore racing elite.
