38 Non Step TG Spin In?

1984 38' straight bottom, kevlar, has TG transom notch. Thinking of trying some 5's, not on boxes, spinning in. Looks like shaft will be 1/2" above bottom. Thinking it may let it get on plane a little easier and settle the nose down while running. But not sure if nose lift will be enough to work with the stern lift. Know all about the maneuverability. Anyone ever have any luck doing this?

MY TG was spinning in when I got it. After a few years, I had the drives switched to spinning out. Top speed lost to not looking like an idiot while docking. LOL I didn't notice any difference in handling while on plane.....Just my 2 cents.
