-can I put a image here taken from another web-site or scanned from a magazine?
-is it legal?
when you are answering pls consider:
this is not something commercial,no one makes any profit out of it,it is just for discussing ideas ,sometimes making fun out of it or to share something nice.
thnx

The question is not really whether it's legal or not (it proably isn't) the question really is if anybody cares. And the answer to that question is: NO.

I dont care if someone downloads a photo- which I've posted on a web site and uses it on a public forum, but it would be nice to have a photographer's credit.
I was pissed off last year when I was reading "Poker Run" Magazine and came across an ancient Race Photo I had taken, and wasn't given credit. If companies are making money and using your work without authorization, I think that is WRONG!

I have been doing video captures of all race classes on Speed and ESPN2 and made photo albums for free viewing on the internet for the past 3 years and have had no complaints.

hey Robert,
are you sure it was your pic they used, a friend of mine was accused of using someone else's picture on his web site when in fact i took the pic, and when comparing the 2 they were identical we must have been standing right next to one another when the photo was shot. i still have the negative. to answer the question most websites will release a pic, some may charge you.

If you do use a picture, be sure and post where it came from, or give credit to the photographer. Or better yet, list the website URL.
And the photographer can go one step further by watermarking the pictures with his name or address, as this F. Peirce Williams pic does:
