So I just picked up a new ride, 99 Powerquest 260 legend and it has a 454 Mag MPI in it. I am woefully ignorant of what this fuel injection system needs for maintenance. I see a lot of talk about having injectors flow checked and cleaned, as well as issues with cool fuel modules. What can I do to make sure my fuel system is healthy? I don't have any obvious issues, boat seems to run well, but an ounce of prevention and all that. I have found a ton of different threads, but nothing with a list like, check these 5 things.
Thanks,
Bones

Change fuel filter, rxr injectors and have them flowed and cleaned or buy new ones, do a fuel pressure test. About the most you can do, I have flowed and cleaned injectors for customers after their boating season was cut short due to tuliped valves, melted pistons etc. High price to pay vs something that should be maintenance!
