Anyone know anything about this combo? Could be cool in a performance cruiser.
Would a Cummins marine dealer sell the combo?
550hp Cummins 6.7L plus a Konrad 680 dual prop (6” gear!)
Curiously Konrad only rates the combo for up to 500hr/year.

There are a handful of older scarabs, stingers, excaliburs and midnight express’s converted to cc’s running around Sarasota/Bradenton.
The gulf coast chopper boat had Konrads behind 440 yanmars and they broke so often Konrad cancelled the warranty. But they might have been 540 series. He switched to arnesons and problem solved. I heard the arnesons were a pain trying to stay on plane going slower in rough seas.
