Default Mystery oil leak. 502 mag MPI. PICS

502 mag MPI has a mystery oil left on the rear port side of the engine. (Right side if you’re looking at it). It’s running off the bottom of the manifold. Valve cover seems to be tight. Looking for some thought before I tear into it. You can see in the photo where it’s wet in the manifold

Check your oil pressure sensor and switch. Could also be a leaking oil hose.

Seeing how wet the head bolts are I’d sill pull that valve cover and inspect the gasket. The OCD in me keeps focusing on the hose clamp on the boot down from the diverter to the Y-pipe.

I had one of those oil lines look good too but it was in fact the leak. It was near the fitting that is crimped onto the hose.

I’ve wasted too much of my life chasing oil leaks without this stuff. I kept messing with a fitting that was wet when the oil was trickling down from elsewhere and just landing there.
