We have an 87 242ls 454 motor with an alpha 1 drive turning a 21 pitch Mirage prop 3 blade. I would like to try a four blade prop in the future to get the boat on plane a little faster. I’d like to try a 19 pitch. Any suggestions. This is our first I/O having been an two stroke family for years.

Rev 4. The 242's seem to love them. 19' seems about correct as you have (I believe) a 1.32 ratio

When I was researching props the threads I was reading said the rev4 bites hard. I was worrried about the health of my alpha so stuck with a three blade. If I ever find one used I’d still like to try it though
