Question 8.3l Whipple vs. 10-71

Anyone do a switch with all things being equal?
Interested in the power difference.

I know the Whipple is 2 inches taller.

What about the 4 , 4.5 or 5 liter rear entry or better yet the new 3.8 liter.

Well that wouldn`t work then , my 2" flame arrestor already hits
the hatch .
I was hoping to transfer all my EFI (throttle bodies) stuff over , quick swap.
I like the port injection but not ready to get rid of everything I just set up..
5 liter is no longer made and it was same case as 8.3l just ran from the back.
I assume the 8.3l is the only option for Throttle bodies on top...

thanx Kris.

Mike is Yes.
All things being equal; temp under intercooler and boost, 200hp would mean the roots takes 200hp to turn over a whipple?
It would also mean that my 548ci at 8psi would make 1200hp.
It took 6800rpm and 13lbs of boost for your engine MIke to hit 1206hp.
Just doesn`t add up.

Eddie young did a back to back and got over a 100hp difference 10-71 vs 8.3 whipple.

I`ll be happy with a 75hp . at the same boost level .

Gale banks ran the blowers (10-71 vs Whipple 5.0) head to head and provides the #'s on heat temps, and efficiency, and, and, and

ICDEDPPL are your 10-71 running 60* rotors or 120* rotors, from what the blower shop says the 120* rotors will take a lot less HP to turn.
Just an FYI you could find more HP for a lot less $$$
Not sure if you looked into that or not
