Default Windlass help for a 47 Fountain.

Looking for some help/advice on a windlass for my Fountain. It currently has an 8k winch in the anchor locker/compartment in the bow. I run 5/8 rope & also 45 feet of 5/16 or 8mm chain. I cannot use the winch to pull the anchor up since it will not accept chain so I'm constantly pulling the chain in by hand. It's a pain in the azz. I'd like to put a windlass in the compartment. I know the boat originally had a windlass or something comparable since the controls are still in the dash. It appears this winch was added in place of a windlass. I can fabricate a welded stainless heavy bracket to mount a horizontal windlass to the back wall of the locker to allow it to pull & drop the chain/rope to the bottom. Any other ideas or suggestions? Thanx in advance.

It comes down to how much do you want to spend?? A Maxwell Marine RC8 can handle your 5/8 rode and the 5/16 chain but that unit is not a cheap option

Thank you for the response. Checked that one out, fits the bill as to what I need but it is too long. Still looking. Tried to find any pics of what came on the boat originally but cannot find anything at all that refers to it.
