Has anyone heard of this engine, supposed to be a blue 502 vs the black 502 with a bigger cam and more HP ??

Early on was the 502/465 hp carb. Flat tappet like 559/571 lift. Early 90’s black.

Not sure any help but...

Thats my understanding, Ive seen blue 502 MPI's but figured they were just painted from black

I’ve seen a purple one in a ‘95 Formula 272 Indy Edition that I believe Lingenfelter had their hands in (aside from the stock intake which is their design) straight from the factory.
