My guess: Progressive pulled the sponsorship so that folded the show.

Winter is going to ramp up this Covid/flu rate and shut everything down again.

Lauderdale show is an anomaly for large gatherings and so will the poker run to Key West.

Anyone know how the crowds were for the first day of the Lauderdale show ? I wonder if attendance in general will be down ? Curious

Ft Lauderdale started yesterday but that is the VIP day, so it is usually low attendance. I think boat shows are going to go the way of the Auto Shows (they are losing participants rapidly, Mercedes, BMW, Audi no longer participate in any North American Auto Shows). The expense is too high and they can "premiere" a car on youtube or other social media for free!

I do feel bad for the vendors, they pay for this opportunity and if no one shows up they get stuck for the cash. My brother in law was a luxury yacht builder for years, the Ft Lauderdale show would cost them 500K to attend. If you sell 3-4 boats then great, it was a good show. If you don't sell anything you just smoked a 1/2 million! Back then if you didn't show up, suddenly the rumors were flying from your competition that you were going out of business!
