454 electric fuel pump install

Hello, Guys
I just finish installing a brand new electric fuel pump ( Cooler) on my 454 mag. EFI 7.4
? should the pump be prime manual or would it just prime it self ?

If its TBI cycle the key and place rag around the fuel line fitting after loosening to catch fuel spray. Bleeds the air out

If its MPI press in on the schrader vale to bleed air
