Anyone used some of these cheaper “mercruiser” transom kits from Amazon/eBay? Some are 75.00 and Sierra and mercury are 250.00 plus. I know typically you get what you pay for, just wondering what your experiences are.

I thought most of Sierra stuff was made in China no?
i used bellows from eBay and rubber seemed nice and sturdy. I only trailer my boat and don’t leave in water overnight. I also planned on changing it regularly seeing outdrives don’t like me to stop touching them lol

I trailer too and don’t mind removing drives. I don’t rally want to do it every year.

I got one of the Amazon kits. Everything was same as the Merc kit except the water hose. It's a little bigger OD for some reason and a real bear to get the tapered hose plug retainers in. A lot of the Merc parts have China country of manufacture.
