The rotating assembly in the 330 is not adequate for even a small cam upgrade. That motor is best left stock....you could probably get away with a K&N (oil filter only) and split-fire spark plugs.

The Crane 132561 should work fine, but I'd keep a close eye on reversion issues with stock Merc exhaust. It was the stock cam in the Merc 420 and 525SC and they were rated at 5200rpms max wot.
The other option is a stock 454/502 mag cam which is a GM #14096209. This is the same specs https://www.partstech.com/Speed-Pro-.../BHVW-CS-1047M

If I went with the crane 561 do you think it's worth going with the crane lifters I hear they have an extra oil in hole in the top.

Griff
I guess I'm going to bite the bullet change it over to Roller cam, lifters.
Can you suggest a camshaft for this application I'm probably going to be running the stock exhaust manifolds I'm having the heads redone will I need new pushrods or will the ones that came with the kit work I know I'm going to get new lifters to match the cam the shop will take care of springs and seats.
Thanks sorry for the trouble
