I have a Cigarette Bullet that is in need of a new transom. I have read a lot about transom replacements online and watched some how to videos. I understand the basic idea of what needs to be done to replace the transom and I am comfortable with what that entails, but I do have some questions. Is there concern with anything getting out of shape when the stringers get cut back? The boat is currently on a trailer, will that offer enough support? Thanks!

Unless he has that sadistic side deep down, that likes the itchy scratchies....
It really depends on your level o mechanical ability and how bad the transom is. The worse it is the easier the job.
If i is a decent trailer and you are just notching the stringers enough to get the new transom in, there shouldnt be any problems. If you find you need to do a bunch of stringer/bulkhead surgery you need to make sure you support things better
