Default Beware of new scammers on OSO

I posted for props in the WTB section. After two days a guy (Cudaracer276) sent me a pm that his buddy had props for sale that matched what I looked for and that I should contact him by mail ([email protected]) I did send him an mail and he told me he got the props I wanted. This was when I started to be suspicious cause I hadn’t specified exact what props I was looking for more like a
17-18”x31-33x18r and I asked him if he had them all? Answered me yes... and he wanted $350 shipping included. I asked what’s wrong with them and why he wanted to give me 5-blade Mercury cleavers that normally cost around $6000/set used for $350 thinking he had left a zero... he stated that they were in great condition and the prize was right...

fu.ck.ing scammers!

this is what’s supposed to be he’s address,
604 N (north) Church St. Pilot Point Texas 76258.

it’s ashamed that’s a 80 year old lady who is listed on that address...

but hey if someone is interested in cheep props and live nearby just stop and ask for Ryan Walker.

I live in Sweden so it’s a little bit too long drive for me...

They are so easy to spot. Just don't be stupid and buy from established members and in a way that gives you some recourse. "he has a Stripping Bucket sale." lol

There is a sticky thread at the top of this section describing exactly what happened to you.
In the future, please use the Report PM for scammers like this or add it to the above sticky thread.

He has been banned

Dang, that sucks. I hate people like that, we need stronger laws/recourse. I usually pick up parts on eBay, you can add a dozen parts to your cart, and they might come from 20 different sellers, but you pay once and done... and dispute if it's not the thing you ordered. I have some parts I no longer need I might list this week.

I had the same thing happen on another forum a while back with a prop. The scary thing is actually seemed like it could be real but I knew something was off. It was real enough that someone could easily fall for it, especially if it was a less specialized product. I asked them to take a photo with a today’s date on a piece of paper. They responded about 30 minutes later with a very well done photoshopped photo of the prop with the paper with the date on it. Again could have easily been fooled but I am aware of the small tell tale factors of a photoshop.

I just had one also. I got a PM from "Michaelwilli83" claiming a buddy had some props I'm in search of in the wanted section. I was to email the buddy "[email protected]" which I did and shortly there after went to a text conversation. 600.00 shipped for a pair of 19 spline props. I went back to look at the NEW member "as of today" and that itself answered my question. BE AWARE!!!!

My last text about 20 minutes ago was asking for a couple pics as well as pymt method. Let's see what kind of photoshop pics I get.

Yup about 30 minutes there after asking for the pics I got some cheesy cropped pics of some 4 blade whatever. Wtf

BTW the preferred pymt method was zelle!
