Default AFR heads and CMI's - Gaskets?

I ran a FelPro 1411 with my iron heads. Any reason not to with the AFR's?

I wouldn't even consider a composite type gasket between an iron block and an aluminum head. You'd be much better off spending the money for Cometic gaskets. Plus if it ever has to come apart again you can reuse the Cometics several times with a light spray of copper coat.

Looks like the AFR’s re only 3$ more than the Felpro’s.

Probably an obvious answer. I had a big order being put together at Jegs and AFR’s gasket wasn’t available.

A Possible issue with those felpro gaskets is port size. They are listed as much smaller than the afr’s. You do not want any gasket material overlapping into the exhaust port of the cylinder heads.

If they don’t, then run’m

I might have a single gasket up in the boat. I’ll need to look at it. Probably just easier to get the right gasket from AFR.
