That is a cool looking boat.
For racing do they get rid of the rubber mounts and go solid, it seems on all the video's I see of the OB cats running that the motors move around a lot. Also what is the disk looking things I assume is mounting something on the canopy? I never seen that on the pleasure versions.

There are other manufactures getting in this game for sure. DW has a couple of people committed to new boats for the class and a couple others that I have heard of. This is going to be a major research program for strengthening the 450s. Racing always presents the weak areas of any product and in turn ends up creating a better consumer product for everyone.
