I am looking to buff out some light scratches on my painted top deck but trying to not end up with something too slippery to walk on after. Anyone have any suggestions of a compound that would do this?

I use meguiars cutting and a buffer with a wool pad to remove scratches on my boat on gelcoat/paint
then meguiars flagship marine wax, applied with a soft foam pad from my dual action polisher.
If that sounds like it works for you, I'll post links, just a bit busy at the moment.
