Planning on bringing the Superboat into the shop next week for a 300hr service and also to wash, polish and wax. Last year I used a traditional wax which held up well with the monthly wipe down of speed shine.
I use a pneumatic orbital buffer for the task. Is anybody using any of the ceramic “waxes” and if so what brand and how are they holding up?

I did DIY ceramic coat (not wal-mart or big chain auto store junk) on the transom and keel area a few years ago. No more issues with water line stains etc. Holds a shine and I don't have to buff/wax minimum 2 times a year. I do keep it under a full mooring cover on a trailer and the reminder of it is vinyl wrapped. Only portion that gets wax is cockpit interior but probably going DIY ceramic coat on that as well. Also DIY ceramic'd 3 cars and walked my mom and step father through doing theirs with fantastic results.
