Question power engine hatches

Anyone know if they can be adjusted and how? I have two that raise my hatch, but when I let it down one side touches the bench seat with the other side still needing to go about 2 or 3 inches. Been this way since the boat was new, causes no problem, I just dont stop lowering until both sides are all the way down. Would like to adjust them though if possible?

The standard rams have no provision for adjustment. Try disassembling and greasing the slow one (I assume it is slow both up and down?).

OR you could put a heavy duty resistor in line with the fast one to slow it a bit.

I assume they're both screw type jacks.
You could try raisng the hatch, prop it open on the higher side, remove the bolt that attaches it to the hatch and screw the shaft down a couple of turns to even it out. If it's still too high, turn it down some more. That should do it.
If it's just running slower than the other, try greasing it (requires disassembly). If that doesn't do it, either replace it or live with it.

If they're hydraulic, you're S.O.L..

Yes they are the screw type not hydraulic. My hatch does seem to be level when its up(not one side higher than the other), just when I bring it down one side touches a few seconds before the other side does...Thanks Guys!
