Default painting hullsides

Just wondering, how many coats of awlgrip over primer would be preferred for a long lasting and deep gloss if one were using a dark color (like blue) on the hullsides?

Three thin coats to build up depth of color.

What ren said.
What I've seen the competent guys out here do is start at point 'x' and then go around the boat 3 times , but slowly with enough time for the previous coat to get a bit tacky. Apparently the stuff runs very easily and you can't do a lot of the correction tricks with it like I've heard you can with Imron .
Again , I'm talking about smaller boats here , not some 60'+ monsters.
