Does anyone know if these are good or bad?

A friend of mine has a reservoir and a filter for sale. How much are they worth?

(I'm building a full hydraulic steering system this spring, and I don't have an extra reservoir or filter yet, so I'm thinking of buying these parts from my friend. I have the hoses, the helm unit, the rams - Marine Machine, the adapters for the outdrives and a tie bar. Is the standard power steering pump sufficient? 2003 496 Mag HO)

Thankful for any input, since I'm a beginner...

I did an install on mine last winter. all IMCO dual rams on a Formula 292. I used the uni mount system. LOVE IT. Had the boat out only once so far, but it's NIGHT and DAY. The difference is insane.
