hey guys,
trying to see my options for a bent prop shaft, i through a dial indicator on it yesterday and its definitely bent.
should a guy buy a lower and swap it out
just replace the shaft
or send it out to get replaced

Just Replace the shaft. You will also need the bearing that is pressed on. There are some special tools and possible reshiming needed depending on your skill set.

timing could play into this...if you can get the repair done (replacing the shaft as obnoxus suggests) quickly...parts available, etc then certainly this is a great and much-less expensive option. On the other hand, if you can find a good used Bravo 1 drive for sale, that is about a 2 hour fix and you're back on the water.
