I have been fighting my drive to get it off and found the aluminum retaining ring on bellows Hangs up on drive. Just enough to make it a real pain to get off. Can that be sanded/tuned up for clearance or is it a water seal.

What's hanging up on it? U-joints? The out drive itself should just push up against the end of the ring in the bellows.

From what I see the drive snout. Is getting stuck in aluminum at the 2-3 o clock position looking into fumble housing. Judging by scratch marks
