Question ??? 272 Baja

Total length less swim platform? 21 or 24 degree hull? Weight? There are several boats in my area for sale in the 95-97 year range. Any comments about this boat would help me make a decision for my next purchase... Thanks Bob

I have a 97 272, it has a 24 degree hull,,, never measured without platform, but I would think it about 25'. We have been very happy with ours, we bought it new and have had next to zero problems with it.

Default Thanks!

Thank you for the info Gentlemen... Just not sure if a 25' boat will do the job in the chesapeake bay.My last boat was a 23' less swim platform (21') and beat us up during weekend cruise's.Top end speed is not that important to us around 60 mph will do.So 454 mag or 502 mag?Last boat had a 7.4 W/B&M 174 ,had spent to much $$$ upgrading internal components to gain reasonable reliabilty... My 21 liberator is where I get my speed fix, only not in the big water!!!

get all you can, that bay gets rough, look for maybe a 32 outlaw, I have run across some clean 96 models, but if you like the 272, see if you can test one were you boat

I had a 98 272 that I ran in the bay. It was ok at best. If you get one I think K-planes would really help smooth out the ride. Mine had dual ram trim tabs that were to slow to react. I sold the boat after one season and got a 311 Formula. Now I have sold that and have a Baja 280 Sportfish. What does all of that mean? I don't know, good luck with your purchase.
