That should just about be the death of that class. The original start up of the class 7 was Mark Henderson's thinking of a class that was for the guys that could have never afforded to go racing but had the dream. He spent untold hours calling guy's and getting it off the ground. The main inspiration was to be able to buy a boat that you could purchase and race for under $15K. Most of the original growth was whit n that budget. It also started with a 250 HP motor which was less expensive. The class has morphed into a new setup at $80K plus. A far cry from getting your feet wet and having a opportunity to do something you thought you never could do. Like most classes that do this and don't know the history of how classes have gotten destroyed over the years I can stop shaking my head. Just look at A class years ago for a lesson.
I applaud the teams that can afford this new motor and I would do the same thing to be competitive based on the new rule.
