Guys,
my starboard trim pump will not lift the drive any more. Pump runs but doesn’t sound like it’s building pressure or facing any resistance like the working port side. I’ve tried bleeding any air out, I use ATF fluid. Drives are 3A’s. No leaks I can see. Towards end of last season the drive started falling on me as the boat was under power… I could trim it back out but slowly creeped in. Now it will not budge, all the way in.
questions:
1. Anyone know “the book” procedure on correct bleeding method?
2. is it possible that an internal leak in the cylinder is causing fluid to just circulate without lifting?

Dont know the age of the pump, but for quite a few years now, pumps/trim system is self bleeding with cycling up and down.
Sounds like the pump itself likely needs replacement or rebuild due to internal leak, if you arent seeing any signs of external issues at hoses, ram caps, etc..
