I have a 1996 scarab 26 with a 496Ho running a bravo 1 24 pitch prop. I recently hooked up vessel view to it and while the dash rpm gauge is reading 4800-5000rpm wide open vessel view is showing 4660 and 60mph gps(dash reads 72) . Just wondering if I should leave it as is, or try a different prop to get me closer to 5000 rpms? This prop gives me nice cruise speeds,,, at 3000rpm I'm around 37-38 mph. I'd rather not sacrifice my cruise speed for top end. Any suggestions?

I'd prob just leave it, maybe have it mildly labbed over the winter when BBlades runs his special.

I run the same prop on my 270 Convincor and I cruise 42(GPS) at about 3300rpm and also OEM tach was 150rpm high(new tach this season). Had BBlades over winter do some magic. So now I run about 4900 and may have picked up 1-2mph. Like GRIFF what for winter specials

Yeah sounds good. Just looking around at similar set ups to mine 60 seems to be on the low side. Was thinking about trying a mirage 23plus to see what that does
