Default Addition to the 292

So a few years ago I wired my 292 with 120V shorepower because we needed to add A/C, I'll repost some pic's. Just that alone was a game changer. We Stay on the boat on the weekends here in Florida at different marinas and State Parks. We had a Laptop to watch DVD's at night. Well We decided to add a TV with a DVD player! I mounted a TV mount to the Cabinet door. The Mount, although not visible, has enough room to access turn the radio on/off. If I need to get into the cabinet, I can simply slide the TV off its mount and back on again. Living in comfort on the 292....

Definitely adds a nice factor to overnighting.

I wanted to do something similar but was worried about it bouncing around. You’re able to fold it away?

Usually I remove the TV, wrap a large towel around it and place it on a seat. If you look at the mount pic above, it has a screw top center. This holds the TV from coming off the mount. I don't install the screw because I remove the TV to access the cabinet. I keep paper plates, plate holders and napkins there. Last week I forgot to stow the TV on the seat and went over some large wakes. The TV didn't move. So I'm just going to keep the TV on its mount from now on.

Fancy!! Is that extension cord the shore power or did you mount a hookup somewhere?

The extension is there to complete the install. For shore power, I installed a smart Plug. Here, I recently added 120v outlet under the TV along with an audio plug for the TV that runs through the radio and out the cabin speakers

I'd think A good size battery + inverter would run that TV setup away from the dock.

Sure. Why not.... The TV/DVD Combo draws only 45 watts max. Or about .4 amps...........
