Would be best if you know the year of the motors in question. What pin is on your 496 now?. If its 2006 or later its probably a 14 pin. Great lakes skipper has them for 1/2 the price of Michigan.

Are you switching from 496 to 525? If so we used an 14 to 10 pin adapter, I think CP carries them. Problem was a couple gauges did not work, the simple solution to this was to add sending units and run dedicated wires to the gauges. Been a while so I do not recall which ones did not work.
