Default Help with a Donzi Z29

So Im considering buying a 1988 Donzi Z29. I know nothing about them. I know Donzi has a pretty good name and I was hoping to get some insight into how the Z29 handles. Is it worth a recondition etc.

I really like the seating arrangement in this boat. I have been considering a dual 496 HO. However they are a little wider than a 7.4L Im not sure they would fit. I also found a rebuilt pair of 550hp 454's. Either would be fast and fun. Looks like it needs a trailer too.

Wow not one comment on the boat ride quality. Well it isnt my first choice anyway, but it was the closest to me.

I had one for eight years. Did a full deck off restoration and repowered with 502 mpi and bravo drives. It was a beauty. Ran over 80. Handled anything you threw at it. Light an nimble. Accelerated like a rocket. But you had to pay attention. I have a 28 ZXO now. Totally different boat. Softer ride.
