Indicators for 380 K-planes
#1
Hello! My 35 Marlin CC has 380 K-Planes but have no dash indicators as to their position. After having Formula boats all my life, I miss not having an indicator. Is there a way to add those after the fact?

There's a position sender there - the circular black object with wires - so you need to find a gauge that is compatible with the signal that's being put out. It's a 3 wire sender so that suggests it's a digital sender, which means a Smartcraft to NMEA2000 setup should be able to display the tab position for you.

Looks like you have the senders already. What engines do you have?

2013 Verado 300's. The information runs through standard verado gauges and 2 Lowrance HDS 12, Gen 2 Touch Screens

So, do you have Smartcraft data available on your Lowrance screens? (Can you see engine parameters such as temp, volts, etc?)

OK, so if we're going to assume / hope that those existing senders are actually connected and delivering data to the smartcraft module, then it's just a matter of adding that data to your display. You'll have to go into some setup screens and I don't have familiarity with your Lowrance unit to walk you through it exactly - but there should be somewhere where you can choose vessel data such as fuel tanks, trim tabs, water tanks, etc. Then it's just a matter of checking the boxes correctly and you should have tab indicators shown on the data screen.
