Guys,

As the title suggests, I'm looking at a side mount Whipple supercharger, designed for the 502 MAG, with intent to installing it on my 496 MAG HO. Fuel/air delivery should be plenty sufficient, and I'm sure the ECM could be tuned to accommodate. The question would be mechanical fitment. Obviously, there is a significant difference between the two intake manifolds, but are the mounting surfaces that much different? Could the 502 Whipple manifold be mounted to the 496? Anybody done it? Tried? Morbid curiosity, if nothing else.

my plan was to use the stock Merc ECM, which Dustin has already tuned for the ProCharger.

Doesn’t matter if fitment is not possible. 🤷‍♀️
