Default Lift capacity for 28 Donzi

Looking at replacing our Baja 272 with a 2000 28 Donzi with twin 350's. Will my 6500lb EconoLift lift this? A larger lift is out of the question due to being grandfathered regs on our slip. Our 272 lifts easily but the Donzi has to weigh 1000 lbs more.

I’d have it on an 8K lb. min.

Sorry Jammer - unfortunate news for you, but the Donzi is going to weigh closer to 7500lbs with a full fuel tank and gear onboard. I had a 2001 28zx with 377's and it was every bit of 8k with all our toys onboard and no bodies.

My 7,800# (dry) Formula sits on a 14,000# cradle/lift.

When we had our electric lift installed (different manufacturer than yours), the company told me take your boat with full fuel, full passengers and accessories, take that total weight and multiply by 20%. Whatever the weight is go up to the next lift capacity.
