Default Fountain 35 lightning engine hatch bracket.

Hi All, I’m in need of a engine hatch bracket for my Fountain 35 lightning. I need a bracket from an 08’ or newer. Please see attached photo. Any help is appreciated. I called Fountain and the person I spoke with told me they will only help me if I have a 2015 or newer boat.

That sucks. Perhaps they need to realize that it is all of us old and worthless Fountain owners that helped to make the brand in the old days and are the ones who helped to make their jobs viable today.
As a life long business man their attitude is just F'n stupid. Lots of biz $$$$ could come from providing parts and service to loyal owners.

Very true, I spoke with someone In the company (Don’t want to mention their name) and they told me they have these on their shelves. It’s not as if I want it for free. I’m willing to pay. Bull**** they won’t service me.

How short sited is that? If there isn't support for older boats people shy away from the brand and new boats are hard to sell. Why would I buy a new boat knowing the manufacturer isn't going to help me once I take possession?

Wow, that says a lot about the integrity of a company. Put the friggin bracket in a box and ship it...for free now since you jerked this Fountain owner around.
Seriously, what do they expect someone to do...have the part machined?

I'm surprised that you even got them to answer the phone. 😂

Car companies are only on the hook for 10 years, try to take a old HD to a franchise dealer and see what happens.

It sucks but is what it is, before the current group they did support them.

Anyway to tell you the truth that doesn't look very complicated, any welding shop would be able to duplicate one.

Agree with above post. Take it to a welder that can TIG, they can put a sleeve over the break and weld it up. It will be stronger, or change it to the style that they used with the bent aluminum plate. I'll see if I can find a picture.

Yeah that can definitely be fixed by someone local. It's not like the piece needs to be beautiful when its done either. Those hydraulic ram supports have always had me scratching my head. On one hand its probably the cheapest way to get it done, and I guess it does work. On the other hand, I don't know why they don't fail more often... who the hell came up with that. LOL
