Default Insurance on restored old scarab

Hi Guys, I've got kind of a special situation here. I'm about 80% done with an older scarab 6-year restoration flat deck miami vice tribute boat and looking to insure it. I know it doesn't make financial sense but it was an itch I had to scratch. I have more than this in it (I know lol) but I've gotten a price from haggerty for all lakes and waterways in the southeast, declared value policy of 100k for a premium of $1474 a year which is less than I thought it would be. The boat will have about 700hp engines with surface drives, I told them about 83mph top speed. Does this sound like a reasonable price? Thanks for any input. Definitely not my area of expertise.

Sounds pretty decent to me as long as the liability coverage is good. I did not know they covered boats at all.

Good deal if it sticks. Sometimes it actually goes to the underwriters and then gets denied. That is a hell of a deal

She's going back to add coastal areas and florida. So we will see if it goes up.

as someone in the collision business, you will not find a better company to deal with in regards to claims than hagerty. keep in mind its not the cost but the product you get when its time for a claim.
