Hey Bermuda Boy, how`s things down there. My wife and I were married at Grotto Bay back in 1990 and have spent many vacations there since, love the place but have not been back in about 4 yrs. Do you still have offshore racing every other week? and motocross the weeks that the boats aren`t running??Is Derek Simons still running a tripple 2.5 24'Skater??? I have some really wild video of him running flat out and WAY loose!!! That was a crazy little boat.

It's the Offshore racing off season right now. It has been a little dissapointing this year as one of the participants in the Round the Island Race was killed. I have not seen Derek Simons boat but will ask. The 'S class' boats are really popualr right now. Current fastest is a 28 Skater with canopies and 2 x 2.5s.
I don't think that the boat was that crazy, just the Bermudians driving it.
Come on down and I'll take you for a boat ride. The island is the best when you see it from the water.
We just live down the road from Grotto Bay, on the water in St. David's.
