Default USCG vessel doc

Posting this again, here's the latest scam saying the recreation doc are 5 years only for 375.00.....they pretend to be the official USCG doc office, I got this mailing 2 weeks before my official doc came in the mail for 26.00 renewal fee for 1 year, how can this be stopped ? and how did they breach the official data base to get all this information. The doc marked portal are the scammers.

Unfortunately I am not much help. But, that address in Fairfax is my old stomping grounds. Spent many of Friday and Saturday in that parking lot setting up races. I graduated from W.T. Woodson across the street. Sorry I can’t be any help but at least they didn’t take your money.

Similar to extended vehicle warranty letters or student loan help calls or any other garbage. How do they get that info when they shouldn’t? The first time I got one of those renewal letters yea I was confused but sniffed it out quickly. Now it’s just more junk mail.

Got the same letter two days ago. Threw it in the trash. They send one every year before the actual USCG renewal comes.

Just as an FYI, if you go the official falling waters site. You can get a 5 year Document. I got one last year. I have attached the official document below. If you read in the middle you can get a 2-5 year document. It just makes it easier for me. My document in now good till 2026.

i went on their website (The scammers) and started a chat session.......asked them why they charge so much more when on the coast guard site it says its $26 for one year and $130 for 5years.....the reply was meant to look automated but it took a little too long for it to be that. Im sure the scammer cut and pasted the reply into the window.....It asked for me to type in my message and leave an email and someone will get back to me shortly......it shows i am in que in pos#1 so i replied that I'll wait and left the window open now going about my day to see if having the chat tied up for a period of time may get a response from someone LOL as you can see im bored today

Holy crap they responded! LOL they wouldn't give me a straight answer about anything just kept giving me the price quotes. Said it was all fee's and tax's etc. I kept pointing out that the prices are more then double what i would pay if i went direct to the coastguard....didn't phase them...
While i was chatting with them i looked up their domain name ownership....its done through some sort of proxy company in AZ. But it say something about it being in California i think.....when i questioned them about why its so secretive as to why there's no contact numbers to call on the website and no names of any one that owns the website it went silent oh well fun while it lasted lol
If anyone wants to mess with them you have to pretend to be interested in getting the documentation done through them first....i bet they will answer quicker

Thanks Ken for posting a head up! I’ve always used Geri at specialized boat services to do all initial paperwork and transfers to make sure it’s spot on. Obviously she charges a fee but the peace of mind is worth it for me. Then I just go directly to USCG site to register yearly. Their site is actually pretty user friendly. Geri’s been around for a long time, handles all Phil’s stuff and is a wealth of info. If anyone is interested, her contact +1 (954) 563-6380 super cool old school.
