my 125kw generators are waiting for a pair of John Deere 6.8 liter 6cyl turbo engines that Deere can’t get built in a timely fashion. Made our order in July last year.

i am wary of the new cat 4cyl engine that uses oil pressure to drive the fuel system. That cat 4cyl is large displacentment and would be a good fit Hp wise. I want non epa old school stuff that last for ever. The diesel here still has lead and all the good stuff in it !The 4cyl cats have been problematic and the injectors and injection pump are very pricey.

DT 466 International -- 160-210hp old school, wet liner, can find RTO for $2500. Parts are easy to find, uses a Bosch Ppump ... Where you are at that would be my first choice for a replacement engine....
