Default WTB: Formula 242 or 272 SR1

As the title states, I'm on the hunt for a late '80s/early '90s Formula SR1 in either 242 or 272 lengths. I'm not interested in a fixer upper, would like something turn key. Also looking for something in as pristine condition as possible, a gem you might say. Seems a year or two there were a handful popping up but not so much currently. If anyone knows of any, please steer them my way. Many thanks.

Patrick Hughes is trying to sell his dads boat. A sweet 1984 Formula 242. I'll tell him about this thread.

I have a 1984 242 for sale. Its not a SR-1, but you could find the stand up bolsters and install them if you wanted. It has been repowered with a 2006 350 Mag EFI and new alpha drive, hydraulic steering, Corsa silent choice exhaust about 400 hours on it. Its my parents boat and they don't use it anymore. I'm tired of maintaining it. I have 2 boats of my own. Here is the link to the ad. https://www.facebook.com/marketplace...56985269332362

Fix one motor and this looks very nice for the money. The early '80s and early '90s colors are getting popular again.

Look at Craigslist in Sandusky, Ohio. There is a nice looking yellow and black 272 sr1.

242sr1 were rare. Not many with 242 with twins.

Sorry, it was gone. Was available a couple of weeks ago. Personally, I like the F-302 SR-1 boats the best. If you could deal with another 3 feet I believe you'll find the F-302 to be a much better riding hull, especially if it gets a little rough. The looks of the F-302 is a little more ol' school menacing too in my opinion. Twice Offshore World Champion Betty Cook loved her personal F-302s. She had an early blue one and then she had a 1983 SR-1, both with KAAMA drives. I was the hull she liked though. Signature Boatman302 here on OSO used to own her 1983 boat. (yellow in photos). This 1984 F-302 SR-1 has been for sale for more than two years. It has come down in asking price more than $10k. The condition shows pride of ownership and this is a boat I would seriously consider. I even like the TRS drives a lot.

Betty's ex. boat in yellow below and a menacing black one for looks.

Thanks for the info, but I’m really maxed out at the 272 length as far as what I can handle towing wise.
