Seems to me that doing business with Cigarette is a risky deal these days.

I'm sure all the 'lawyers involved' had some fancy tiny language in the contract that allows them to escape with little to no exposure.
And then CRT is happy to litigate with RWO, for which RWO is going to have to come out of pocket for, and likely doesn't want to pursue as their, time, money, and efforts are better off being spent finding new sponsors.

I bet they backed out of the contract with a text message, too.
