My wife and I took the 85 Velocity 22 out for the first time today. I would have bet a paycheck that she would have hated everything about the boat... I would have lost that paycheck. She absolutely loves everything about the boat. There was about an 18 inch chop out on the lake and the old 22 handled it with no problem and Momma loved it. Even when I got after it a little and brought it up to around 60. I looked over and she had a big smile on her face. The boat really like the 25 pitch prop so I'm going to go ahead and order the Mirage Plus 25 pitch for the boat. I would have sworn that she would have hated this boat, but it looks like we are going to have a lot of fun on this little bad boy.

Donnie ,Congrats! When the wife likes it you bothhave more fun. My wife has loved all three of my Velocity boats. Actually she picked my second one. A 89 280. Your boat looks great. Maybe i should look for a older 22 outboard to play with.

From what I'm hearing the 22 OBs are even harder to find than the I/Os. I can tell you this first hand. The little fellas are a blast. Not as easy to handle as their larger brothers. I took it pretty easy today since it was fairly choppy and I don't have much time at the controls, but 60 MPH came very quick and there is much more left in her.
