Default Filling corrosion holes on extension boxes for powder coat

Going to have my extension boxes powder coated but have some corrosion pits in them.

Has anyone used something to fill smaller imperfections with good luck?

I have found this and it seems like it will work, I just don’t want to go through all the work of doing it and have the filler chip out a few months later and have to pull the boat back apart and start back over.

The description says it is sandable, any idea how it is to work with?

LAB METAL filler. they claim it can be powder coated and even chromed over, or you could weld and grind.
