Looking for a nice B/B or somwhere unique to spend New Years Eve. Meeting family that is driving south from Makinaw and Im in CHicago. Somthing halfwayish. Last year it was a lighthouse/B and B on the shore of Lake Superior. Way too far but a great place. We went dog sledding while there. Any ideas appreciated

Just curious where the lighthouse b&b was ... we were married at a lighthouse and our whole house is nauticle, so would be a cool place to sneak the hubby away to one of these days.

I think I'd be checking around the town of Pentwater. Much more quaint than Grand Haven. Some good places to eat there too. You might look up their chamber of comerce on the web. Not sure of an addy though. might try a search of Pentwater Michigan. That's about half way from Mac. to Chicago.

If you go up to Pentwater the Nickerson Inn is a place you may want to look into.
