ISO of 454’s or other options?
Good morning all!
i am new here and also a new Cigarette Owner!
i just recently acquired a very clean and solid with good history up untill recent 2-3yrs 1987 Cafe Racer that has also been upgraded to Bravo Drives with a new transom Etc. That being said I bought her and she’s got bad engines. One is “ Locked up” and the other has low oil pressure and burning oil according to last owner. Believed to be 400hp 7.4’s mostly all stock. With exhaust etc and Holleys with stainless exhaust. I am either looking for some take outs that are similar or a source for some long blocks. I’m not looking to make big power by no means or set any speed records trying to keep this ol boat as original as it is! ( for now ) I am located in southern Tennessee an hour south of Nashville. I am also open to options of rebuilding mine if someone has a reliable source, trustworthy and priced right! ! I’ve been recommended switching to 502’s etc etc which could be ok depending on the deal! There is lots of knowledge here and I’m willing and able to learn as much as I can to get this ol girl back in go mode! Thank you again for any help!!
